52 clashes take place along the Russia-Ukraine frontline: half in Pokrovsk sector

On February 2, 52 combat clashes took place along the frontline. Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 25 Russian attacks in the Pokrovsk sector, 6 more are still ongoing

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff stated this in its report as of 4:00 p.m.

Ukrainian border towns and villages were again shelled by Russian forces. Today, settlements in Chernihiv and Sumy regions suffered artillery shellings and airstrikes.

Frontline situation

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian troops attempted 12 advances near several settlements. Ukrainian forces repelled five attacks, while seven clashes continue.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops attacked six times near Novoyehorivka, Makiivka, Yampolivka, and towards Serebryanka, with one battle still ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled one attack near Ivano-Darivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, one clash is ongoing near Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces attempted two advances near Toretsk and Krymske.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops remain active, with 25 clashes recorded today. Ukrainian forces are repelling attacks near Zelenе Pole, Tarasivka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Kotliarivka, Oleksiivka, Dachne, and Ulakly, with six battles ongoing.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Russian forces attempted one advance towards Kostiantynopil but were stopped.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russian troops carried out an airstrike near Novopil.

In the Kharkiv, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, and Prydniprovskyi sectors, Russian forces have not conducted any offensive actions since morning.

In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled two attacks, with two battles still ongoing. Russian forces also carried out three airstrikes using four guided bombs.

Ukrainian forces are depleting the Russian army along the entire front line and behind the lines.

  • In the past day, Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated 1,320 Russian servicemen along the Russian-Ukrainian front. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the occupying Russian army has lost over 840,000 soldiers.
