Russian troops storm 10 frontline directions, most actively in Pokrovsk - Ukraine's General Staff

On August 25, there were 146 combat clashes along the frontline. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces are conducting the operation in Russia's Kursk region

Russian attacks on Ukraine

According to updated information, yesterday Russia launched two missile attacks on Ukrainian troop positions and populated areas using four missiles, along with 88 airstrikes, including 142 KAB bombs. Additionally, Russia carried out 4,335 shellings, including 121 from multiple launch rocket systems.

Russian air strikes targeted 20 settlements across Ukraine.

On the border with the Sumy region, Russia is actively using guided aerial bombs against Ukrainian settlements. Russian bombs are also detonating within the Kursk region, where Ukrainian troops are conducting operations.

Ukrainian Defense Forces' strikes at Russian positions

Yesterday, Ukrainian aviation, missile troops and artillery conducted eight strikes on concentrations of Russian personnel and weapons, four strikes on air defense systems, three strikes on missile and artillery systems, and also hit a Russian Zhitel electronic warfare station.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, 4 Russian troops attacked near Lyptsi and Vovchansk. 

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops conducted 15 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Petropavlivka, Synkivka, Kolisnykivka, Hlushkivka, Stelmakhivka and in the direction of Lozova.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops launched 21 attacks, attempting to advance near seven different settlements. Their primary focus was near Nevske, where they conducted nine assaults.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven assaults near Spirne, Verkhniokamianske, Vyimka, Bilohorivka and Ivanodarivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops attacked 13 times near Stupochky, Ivanivske, Andriivka, Hryhorivka, Klishchiivka and, most actively, near Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces, supported by aviation, carried out 7 attacks near Nelipivka and Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders halted 42 assault and offensive actions targeting the settlements of Sukha Balka, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Zelene Pole, Myroliubivka, Kalynove, Marynivka, and Novohrodivka. Nearly half of the Russian attacks occurred near Novohrodivka, which was also hit twice with unguided aerial missiles.

In the Kurakhove direction, Ukrainian Armed Forces fought off 20 attacks near Karlivka, Nevelske, Pervomaiske, Heorhiivka, Mykhailivka and Kostiantynivka. 

In the Vremivka direction, according to updated information, Russian troops launched 10 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Vodiane, Kostiantynivka and Vuhledar.

Russian forces did not conduct any active offensives in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions yesterday.

In the Kherson direction, Russian forces launched two attacks on Ukrainian positions. They were met with a strong response, suffered losses, and retreated. The Russian military also bombarded the Tokarivka area with five KAB bombs.

The operational situation near the border with Belarus remains unchanged. No signs of the formation of Russian offensive groups were detected.
