Yermak holds meeting with advisers to Biden, Erdogan in Turkey
Andriy Yermak, the head of the Office of the Ukrainian President, meets with Ibrahim Kalin, the chief adviser to the President of Turkey, and Jake Sullivan, the national security adviser of the US President, in a tripartite format.
The portal of the Office of the Ukrainian President reports.
The interlocutors discussed the course of the situation at the front and the coordination of measures to respond to Russia's latest aggressive actions.
Yermak emphasized the need for Ukraine to obtain reliable international security guarantees before becoming a member of NATO.
He reminded that the International Working Group has prepared recommendations regarding the Kyiv Security Treaty, the conclusion of which should provide effective security guarantees for this transitional period.
The official separately emphasized the importance of a tough reaction to Russia's holding of pseudo-referendums in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories and the adoption of an illegal decision on their annexation.
"These "referendums" are worthless, they do not change reality. The territorial integrity of Ukraine will be restored. This is the principled position of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the entire military and political leadership of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people," Yermak said.
In addition, the interlocutors also discussed the continuation of security assistance to the Ukrainian army, the needs of the defense forces of Ukraine and the efficiency of its receipt.
