This was reported by the Russian edition of Meduza.

The death of 53-year-old Vitaly Robertus, who was the vice president of Lukoil, has been confirmed by the Russian company. However, the reasons were not disclosed.

The obituary emphasized that Robertus's career was exclusively associated with Lukoil, where he had worked for 30 years.

Baza found out that Robertus committed suicide in his office. His body was found in the office of Lukoil's office on Sretensky Boulevard.

Shortly before his death, Robertus complained of feeling unwell and asked for pills for his head, after which he went to his office. He did not come out for several hours, and did not answer his phone. The staff decided to enter the office and found his body.

"The top manager committed suicide and died of asphyxiation," the Baza’s sources say.

  • In May 2022, a former top executive of the Russian oil company LUKOIL, Alexander Subbotin, was found dead in a house near Moscow where shamanic rituals were being performed.
  • In September 2022, Ravil Maganov, vice president and chairman of the board of directors of the Russian company Lukoil, died after falling from a window of a Moscow hospital where he was undergoing treatment. The company itself reported that Maganov passed away after a serious illness.
  • His position was taken over by Vladimir Nekrasov, who died in October 2023. Allegedly from heart failure, according to the Russian company.
