Ukrainian troops are close to major success - Estonian intelligence on Russia's war against Ukraine
Colonel Margo Grosberg, head of the Estonian Defense Intelligence Center, says that Ukrainians are close to a major success, while the Russian Federation's reserves are running out
He said this at a briefing at the Defense Ministry on July 14.
Grosberg spoke about the tactics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to destroy command posts and logistics centers of Russian troops with targeted strikes and about successes in the areas near Bakhmut.
"All this shows that the Ukrainians are close to success," he said.
According to the general, the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are still holding Bakhmut and elite units of Russian paratroopers are suffering huge losses is very demotivating for the occupying Russian forces.
"At some point, this should lead to greater success," Grosberg said.
On the southern front, in the area of Zaporizhzhia and Velyka Novoselivka, Ukrainian troops have taken new ground, the general noted. He also mentioned the attack on a hotel in the temporarily occupied Berdiansk, which resulted in the killing of Russian Deputy Commander of the Southern Military District, Lieutenant General Oleg Tsokov.
Grosberg concluded that "the resources of the Russian Federation are running out".
