Ukrainian fighters explain new Russian tactics in Bakhmut sector
Oleksandr Borodin, a spokesman for the 3rd separate assault brigade, says that Russian forces have started using non-standard mining in the Bakhmut direction
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"On the southern flank of Bakhmut, we are advancing, the initiative is on our side. But this is not a rapid advance. We are now fighting against mining, against the new tactics of the Russians. We need to take a break before each assault. The enemy has relied on non-standard mining," Borodin emphasized.
According to him, Russian troops deployed professional sappers to the Bakhmut direction.
"Our sappers realize that the mines were not laid according to the statute. We can feel that professional sappers have been brought to the Bakhmut direction. They lay mines so that they are difficult to find. Such demining takes much more time. Because a simple mine can be laid both by a conventional method and non-standard method," added Borodin.
