Ukrainian Armed Forces recapture territory in Tavria direction

The commander of the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops, Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, reported the information.

"The Tavria direction. There are recaptured territories. Defense forces are working. The artillery units of our soldiers carried out 1,303 firing missions during the day," Tarnavskyi wrote.

During the day, Ukrainian forces eliminated 80 Russian soldiers, another 160 were injured, and 2 more were captured. Seven units of Russian military equipment were destroyed: a tank, 2 armored combat vehicles, 2 artillery systems and mortars, 1 unit of automotive and 1 unit of special equipment.

Three ammunition depots were also destroyed.

"We are moving forward!" emphasizes Tarnavskyi.

• The Russian military has launched futile offensives on 3 frontlines, but the Ukrainian Defense Forces are successfully holding back their offensive on 2 more frontlines.

• On Saturday, August 12, saboteurs tried to break through the border of Ukraine in the Sumy region. The Ukrainian military repelled the attack.
