Ukraine’s NSDC Secretary explains why he favors diplomatic way of Crimea’s de-occupation
NSDC Secretary Oleksii Danilov considers the diplomatic way of de-occupation of Crimea to be preferable to the military one, as it will avoid numerous victims
He shared his opinions in an interview with Ukrinform.
According to him, Ukraine is considering both diplomatic and military ways to liberate Crimea from the Russian occupiers.
"It all depends on the actions of the terrorist country that has seized part of Ukrainian territory," Danilov said.
"Of course, we are leaning towards the diplomatic way to avoid casualties and tragedies due to the killing of people. This is a priority. However, if the diplomatic route does not work, if the terrorist country does not want to voluntarily leave Ukraine, we have the right to develop our own vision of how to further liberate our territory," he added.
