Ukraine’s 3rd Detached Assault Brigade builds family of volunteers – press officer
Oleksandr Borodin, spokesman for the 3rd Detached Assault Brigade, noted that the Ukrainian forces are trying to simultaneously advance and save the soldiers’ lives
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"We are building the brigade on a voluntary basis. The brigade consists entirely of volunteers or active servicemen. Because assaults require a family of motivated like-minded people. We are building a volunteer unit, a family of brothers. This unit is a little different from others. In our brigade, people are in their places. You don't have to be an assault rifleman. If a person has any qualifications and skills, they can use them in the military. The brigade has a good medical system and training. After the training, no one is immediately thrown into assaults. Soldiers must be mentally prepared and trained from a military point of view," Borodin stressed.
The spokesman for the 3rd Detached Assault Brigade also added that a difficult period in the war has come, as Ukrainian forces are trying to advance and simultaneously save the lives of soldiers, which is a difficult task.
"When the Russian forces were advancing, they did not think about the lives of their soldiers. From a military point of view, it was easier for them. Combining assaults and saving the lives of soldiers is a tough call. To do this, we need to rotate soldiers and renew the personnel," Borodin said.
