Ukraine war is part of serious geopolitical situation – diplomat Bezsmertnyi
Diplomat Roman Bezsmertnyi noted that most of the partners who help Ukraine, view the Russian-Ukrainian war as a local conflict
He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
"Thanks to China, India, Iran, Brazil and many other international players, Russia has largely restored its export potential. This means that Russia has the internal capital resources to wage war. And the proof of this is that there is an increase in the number of artillery attacks, the use of drones and aircraft on the front line, missile attacks on Ukraine, and so on. We need to understand that this happened not only because China or India or other countries pay hard currency for hydrocarbon supplies. It also happened because China and Iran supply the relevant components and military equipment, weapons, and so on," the diplomat explained.
Roman Bezsmertnyi added that Ukrainian intelligence has counted up to 30 components from around the world in drones manufactured in the Russian Federation. This means that Russia has already established appropriate supplies through third countries.
"But even in this situation, a political track is developing in parallel, which is related to the negotiation process. And if we add to this the growing influence of China in the Pacific region and on the African continent, all this leads to a very serious geopolitical situation. Obviously, the war in Ukraine is a component of this geopolitical situation, and this is what we need to pay the most attention to and focus on today. Most of the partners who help Ukraine define the Russian-Ukrainian war as a regional, local conflict. This means that it is on a par with others. This war is not interpreted in the way Ukrainians see it, as a war of the civilised world against evil, as a global war, but is interpreted as a local war. Moreover, if we look at the main trend in the field of reconciliation, the first task that is being solved is even greater localisation, that is, the closure of the war exclusively within the framework of Russian-Ukrainian relations," Bezsmertnyi said.
