On Friday, March 24, media reported that the famous American historian Timothy Snyder met with a Ukrainian soldier, whose photos went viral. The soldier was reading a book by a publicist.
Oleksandr Shyrshyn signed his post with the words: "not an accidental chance."
Public figure Yuliy Morozov wrote that he helped organize the meeting and more information about it will soon be available.
In early January, the famous historian Timothy Snyder posted a photo of a Ukrainian soldier reading his book in a trench.
"The highest honour for an author is a reader," the researcher wrote in Ukrainian.
The post received over 1 million views in a few hours. Now it has been viewed by 2.7 million people.
