The no-fly zone over Ukraine will lead to the Third World War - Borrel

This was stated by EU Foreign Minister Josep Borrell in an interview with El Periodico.

"If Putin wins this war and subjugates Ukraine, we will open the door to the law of the jungle, where the strongest dominates the weak without justification and reason," the Catalan politician warned.

According to him, the EU is doing everything possible from a military point of view, helping to promote the resistance of Ukrainians with military equipment. Borrell noted that the West is doing this carefully so as not to spread the war to other countries and to avoid a confrontation that could lead to nuclear conflict.

"When someone asks for a flight ban, it means the opportunity and the decision to shoot down Russian planes that violate it. It will expand the conflict to the level of World War III, and obviously, we do not want to do that. We are doing everything we can to help without entering a militant situation and not becoming part of the conflict, "Borrell said.

He added that sanctions could not stop the war overnight, but they could weaken Russia's economy and cost Russia dearly.

Earlier, Josep Borrell said that Vladimir Putin could attack one of the NATO countries.
