"We hope that we will be able to defeat the aggressor on our own, but the situation is so fragile that I do not rule out that some NATO countries will stand side by side with Ukraine," he told Espreso.TV.
Lubkivsky added that the involvement of NATO countries may be due to the attack on this country by Russia: "When there is a war in such large areas, it is difficult to exclude that it may affect other countries," - said the expert.
The adviser to the Minister of Defense also stressed: "Kyiv is ready for defense, there is no reason to worry. From the very beginning, we understood that Putin's goal would be Kyiv. Therefore, the main efforts are aimed at saving the capital."
He also added: "We are now clearly following all the events on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border, as soon as the enemy tries to enter our land, he will be repulsed."
