Talks with Xi will be tough, China won't be able to resist civilized world – diplomat Ohryzko
Volodymyr Ohryzko, diplomat and Ukraine's Foreign Minister (2007-2009), believes that Russia is exhausting its potential
He said this on Espreso TV.
“Macron's visit to China is underway. The diplomatic curtain hides the fact that Xi Jinping will have difficult negotiations in the coming days. The talks will be tough and direct. The situation is coming to a head, I mean the Russian aggression in Ukraine. Because everyone understands that Russia is exhausting its potential. A little more time and the situation will take on a completely different character. China has two possibilities, either to tell Putin harshly: “End this adventure and you may still have some chances.” Or China can get on its nerves from the West, as people say in Odesa,” Ohryzko emphasized.
The diplomat, who served as Ukraine's Foreign Minister (2007-2009), added that if these nerves cost China the severance of economic ties with Western Europe and America, the situation will be difficult and bad for the Chinese.
“Diplomatic formulas will be used to talk about straightforward and understandable things. China and Russia will not be able to confront the entire civilized world. The civilized world is now united and clearly states who the enemy is. Playing with a half-dead Russia will be a difficult task for China,” emphasized Ohryzko.
