Three Russian soldiers to be tried for killing farmer in Ukraine's Kharkiv region
Three Russian soldiers will be tried in absentia in Ukraine. They are suspected of war crimes in the Kharkiv region, including the dismemberment of a farmer
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reports.
It is noted that on March 13, 2022, the defendants arrived at a house in the village of Volokhiv Yar, Izium district, where a civilian man and his family were staying at the time. One of the invaders, threatening to use weapons, began to ask for information about pro-Ukrainian citizens, primarily the victim's brother, who is a member of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Without receiving any information, the Russian military ordered him to give a car. Fearing for the lives of his young children, the victim handed over the car keys. The aggressors used the car exclusively for their own purposes and even managed to get into an accident because they were intoxicated.
Later, on July 32, 2022, the Russian military arrived at a farm in the village of Bezmiatezhne, Kupyansk district, owned by a man with an active pro-Ukrainian position from Zakarpattia region. The Russian soldier got out of his car and told the farmer to come to him under the pretext of helping him repair his car. When he approached him, the invader shot him in the head. The man fell to the ground and died on the spot.
