Russia attacks Ukraine with missiles, injuring civilian in Sumy region, damaging houses in Poltava, Chernihiv regions

Vyacheslav Chaus, the head of the Regional Military Administration, also reported on the work of air defense in Chernihiv region.
"Everyone has heard. Air defense. There is damage. We are not disclosing the locations yet. All services are working. Preliminary no casualties," he wrote on Telegram.
According to the police, several private houses and non-residential buildings were damaged as a result of Russian missile fragments. One building was almost destroyed.
In the yard nearest to the event's epicenter, the explosion killed the owners' dog. People survived.
In Khmelnytskyi, an air target was shot down within the region. Air defense was also operating in the Rivne and Kirovohrad regions. There were no casualties or damage.
In addition, according to Serhiy Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, there are hits in Dnipro as a result of the Russian morning attack.
"We are now clarifying the damage caused by the strikes. But the most important thing is always people. Fortunately, everyone is safe," noted the official.
In addition, on the morning of January 13, the Russian forces also attacked the town of Shostka, Sumy region. According to preliminary information, the Russians used Kh-22 supersonic cruise missiles.
As a result of the attack, a civilian was injured. The blast wave damaged at least 26 buildings.
How missiles moved across Ukraine
At about 6 a.m., the Ukrainian Air Force reported a missile threat in the regions where the air alert was announced.
"Cruise missiles are being launched from Tu-95MS aircraft (from the Caspian Sea). Take cover!" the message read.
The Ukrainian Air Force noted that six Tu-95MS missiles of the Kh-101/555/55 type were launched: "The estimated time of entry of the missiles into the Ukrainian airspace is 6 a.m. - 7 a.m."
First, the missile threat was announced in the southern regions of Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson, and later in the central and northern regions of Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, and Khmelnytskyi.
At 6:30 a.m., a missile was reported heading toward Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. A little later, the Air Force reported a missile threat in the western regions.
Meanwhile, an air alert spread all over Ukraine.
At 6:40 a.m., the Air Force reported a missile in Kirovohrad region headed for Cherkasy. Residents of Kropyvnytskyi were urged to take shelter. Immediately after the report, the city heard the sound of explosions.
Later, the military spotted missiles moving through the Kherson region, heading southwest. In addition, a MiG-31K fighter jet of the Russian Aerospace Forces was seen taking off from the Savasleyka airfield in Nizhny Novgorod region.
"More launches of Kh-31P (2 missiles) in the direction of Beryslav district, Kherson region," the Ukrainian Air Force wrote at 6:48 a.m.
At 6:50 a.m., the missiles were moving in the direction of Kremenchuk, Poltava region. And at 6:55 a.m., it was reported that supersonic Kinzhal missiles were launched in the direction of Dnipro.
In addition, Kyiv residents were warned of the danger. "Cruise missiles are moving in your direction through Zhashkiv," the Air Force said in a statement at 6:58 a.m.
At 7:00 a.m., the Air Force reported the re-launch of a Kinzhal missile. The sounds of explosions were heard in the city of Dnipro.
Meanwhile, several cruise missiles were heading toward Vinnytsia and Zhytomyr regions. Later, the missile in the Zhytomyr region changed its course to Berdychiv. Residents were told to take cover.
At 7:11 a.m., the Air Force reported Kinzhal missiles in the direction of Kyiv and toward Kalynivka, Vinnytsia region.
"A group of cruise missiles towards Rivne!" the Air Force wrote at 7:17 a.m. It is noted that they are moving through Khmelnytskyi region to Rivne region, after which they changed course to Lutsk.
Around the same time, a second takeoff of two MiG-31Ks was recorded from the Savasleyka airfield in the Russian Federation.
Meanwhile, the cruise missile was moving through Vinnytsia region to Starokostiantyniv, while the Kinzhal missiles set a course for Dnipropetrovsk region, namely Kryvyi Rih.
Another cruise missile was spotted heading toward Chernihiv, and Kinzhal missiles were launched again in the direction of Kyiv and Rivne.
Later, two missiles in the Volyn region changed course to the northeast. As of 7:35 a.m., the cruise missiles were within the Volyn, Ternopil, and Rivne regions.
At 7:40 a.m., the high-speed missiles were already moving in the Chernihiv and Zhytomyr regions, and the cruise missile was heading toward the Lviv region. Several more cruise missiles were moving from the north.
Later, Russian cruise missiles were spotted at the intersection of Lviv, Ternopil, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, and at 8:07 a.m., a high-speed target was spotted in the Kharkiv region.
At 8:23 a.m., the all-clear signal was declared over the entire territory of Ukraine, except for the Donetsk region.
