Russian Guard troops enter occupied territories in Ukraine’s south to fight partisans
Invading Russian forces have created manoeuvrable groups of the Russian Guard to fight the growing partisan movement in the temporarily occupied territories of southern Ukraine
This was reported by the National Resistance Center.
According to the report, the Russian occupiers are unable to suppress the pro-Ukrainian sentiments of the majority of the population of the occupied south of Ukraine on their own, so they have to strengthen the police regime in these territories.
"The Kremlin is unable to find the necessary number of collaborators in the 'occupation police', but the fear of the guerrilla movement makes it send more security forces from Russia," the National Resistance Center explained.
According to the Center, manoeuvring groups from the special forces units of the federal service of the Russian National Guard are to control a certain territory, counteract the AFU reconnaissance groups and representatives of the resistance movement, and interact with the Russian army units and the occupation administration.
They were also obliged to collect operational information on the ground for further analysis.
