Russian collaborators trying to contact Ukrainian authorities en masse – Melitopol mayor
Panic is growing among the collaborators in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region – some of them are either selling all their property to escape or trying to get in touch with the Ukrainian side
Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov shared the information on FREEDOM TV.
"I am glad that panic among the Russian collaborators is growing. Over the past week, we have seen a tendency that they are massively resigning, massively trying to communicate with our law enforcement agencies and the Ukrainian Armed Forces in order to cooperate," Fedorov said.
According to the mayor, the collaborators have recently started putting their houses and apartments in the Zaporizhzhia region up for sale.
"They are trying to escape, realizing that today we know the names of every person, both those who drive diesel locomotives and those who form brigades," he said.
In addition, the Russian military has intensified “filtration” measures against residents of Enerhodar, Vasylivka and Tokmak who are trying to leave the temporary occupation.
"In the case of Enerhodar, people who work directly at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) or their relatives are not allowed to leave. Today, they have also started closely checking tattoos. While we haven't heard about this problem for six months, just last week two families were prevented from leaving because one of the family members had tattoos that aroused suspicion among the enemy. That is, they are intensifying terror and intensifying “filtration” measures," said Ivan Fedorov.
