Russian army attacks 10 regions of Ukraine: 7 people died

Information on the consequences of the attacks was released by the regional military administrations. 

Kyiv region: over 30 private houses and outbuildings were damaged as a result of the attack on June 16. Some private houses were destroyed.

The falling debris also caused fires in the forest and grass litter. All fires have been localized. 

Chernihiv region: over the past day, the Russian army fired 8 mortar and artillery shells at Novhorod-Siverskyi district. In a village of Semenivka community, a fire broke out in the residential sector due to mortar shelling, 4 outbuildings burned down and a residential building was damaged. There were no casualties.

Sumy region: at night and in the morning, 10 mortar, artillery and small arms attacks were recorded on the border areas and settlements of the Sumy region.

Seven communities were shelled. According to preliminary data, there were no consequences.

Also yesterday, Russian troops fired 22 times at the border. Thirteen communities were attacked.

Zaporizhzhia region: Russian troops fired 99 times at 20 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, including 3 UAV attacks, 16 MLRS attacks, and 78 artillery attacks. 

Another 15 civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed.

Dnipropetrovsk region: Marhanets community and Nikopol came under artillery fire at night. 

The city's utility company, 8 private houses, outbuildings and power lines were damaged.

The Russian army shelled Nikopol with heavy artillery throughout the day. As a result of strikes, 17 private houses and 16 outbuildings were damaged in the city. Three gas pipelines and a power line were damaged. 

An 81-year-old man was killed and a 78-year-old woman was wounded. She has a shrapnel wound. 

Kharkiv region: on the northeastern border with Russia, Russian troops carried out air strikes on the village of Budarky. They fired mortar and artillery shells at 12 settlements.

In the Kupyansk direction, 7 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

Last night, a private house and outbuildings were damaged during an enemy shelling of Kozacha Lopan village, Kharkiv district.  A man was wounded and hospitalized in Dvorichna, Kupyansk district, as a result of shelling.

Luhansk region: yesterday Russian troops opened fire along the entire frontline. Four settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

Donetsk region: Russian troops shelled 9 settlements.

4 residential buildings, an outbuilding, 2 shops and a school were damaged. One person was killed. 

Mykolaiv region: Russian troops shelled the Ochakiv’s port area. There were no casualties. Also in the evening, Russian shelling was recorded in the waters of the Ochakiv community. 

Kherson region: Russian troops launched 75 attacks on the region over the day, including 9 attacks on Kherson. The Russian military hit 26 settlements in the region. 

In total, 2 people died and 25 were injured as a result of Russian aggression.

Yesterday, the Russian army shelled Kherson, targeting the Tavriyskyi district, Korabelnyi district and the central part of the city. The shelling damaged a medical facility, a kindergarten, a supermarket, residential buildings, cars, and power lines. As a result of Russian terrorist strikes, 23 people were injured, 3 of them children.

The Russian army also shelled Novoberyslav with rocket and cannon artillery, hitting residential buildings; a couple was killed when one of the houses was hit. 

They also shelled Bilozerka, wounding a 37-year-old woman. In the village of Shliakhove, Beryslav district, a 49-year-old man was injured in a Russian shelling of a residential building. 

• On the night of June 15 to 16, Russian troops attacked the southern regions of Ukraine with drones. At night, the air defense of the Air Force destroyed 2 Iranian Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs in the southern direction - in the Mykolaiv region.

• On Friday, June 16, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Ukraine, particularly targeting the capital. Air defense systems were operating there. Espreso was following the events in real time.
