Trump has no plan for Ukraine
Trump promises not to help Ukraine if Europe doesn't help in the same way as the United States
And this means that Trump will be forced to help Ukraine, simply because in the last months of American uncertainty - when Congress could not vote on aid to Ukraine for a long time - European aid has already equaled American aid.
But it's not even about Europe's position. The Republicans have put themselves in a bad situation, when Republican voters and a good part of the Republicans themselves support assistance to Ukraine (just look at the split in the Republican Congress), and Trump himself has been repeating for a long time that instead of weapons, he will “bring peace in one day.”
" That's why Trump is now trying to maneuver, looking for a compromise between his favorite rhetoric of isolationism and the need to take an active stance on the Russian-Ukrainian war, as some of his voters and fellow party members want."
However, this also means that Trump has no real plan for Ukraine. And if he returns to the White House, we can expect anything from attempts to put the war on hold to prolonged warfare. All these scenarios will be difficult for Ukraine. But it is important that all of them will take place with Washington's active political and financial complicity.
