Russia's forces outnumber Ukraine’s troops in Kursk region, military expert reveals
Russian forces are ramping up their offensive in the Kursk region of Russia. Video footage shows Ukrainian prisoners
Military expert Ivan Stupak discussed this on Espreso TV.
"This operation ran out of steam two or three weeks ago. There was a lot of hate around this issue. Yes, we performed well in the first two weeks, but the Russians managed to gather significantly more troops than we have in the area. It was only a matter of time before they tried to retake their settlements, and now that’s happening. The Russian troops crossed the Seim River using pontoon ferries in the Glushkovsky district, boosted their offensive power, and are launching attacks from Korenevo,” he explained.
Stupak added that Russian forces will continue to try to push Ukrainian troops out. He said that Ukraine’s leadership needs to consider its goals and the losses it is ready to accept.
"Unfortunately, footage from a Russian drone shows around 10 Ukrainian soldiers captured. It’s disturbing, but not unexpected. Russian forces will keep pressing. The real question is how long the Ukrainian army can hold its position, and what losses are acceptable for the Ukrainian military command. While no losses are acceptable to us, we have specific objectives,” the expert concluded.
