Russian army strikes kindergarten in Zaporizhzhia, killing 2 people, injuring 15

On the morning of October 21, Russian troops attacked a residential area in Zaporizhzhia, killing two people and injuring at least 15

Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, reported the information.

As of 3:00 p.m., it was reported that two people were killed and 15 wounded as a result of the Russian attack. The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration added that medics continue to examine the victims and provide them with all the necessary assistance.

 

As of 1:09 p.m., 14 people were injured in the Russian attack.

 

At 12:37 p.m., Ivan Fedorov reported that the number of victims had increased to 9. 


“Two people are in serious condition, 5 are in moderate condition, two more received medical assistance and will be treated at home,” he wrote.

 

At 11:23 a.m., Fedorov reported that the number of people injured in the strike had increased to 7. More than 30 houses were also damaged.

 

According to the State Emergency Service, in the morning, Russian troops launched another missile attack on the residential sector of the city. A two-story building of a kindergarten was partially destroyed. 

 

“The blast wave and shrapnel damaged nearby cars. Firefighters extinguished the fire in two metal garages,” the statement said. 

 

Later, it was reported that 6 people were injured in the Russian attack.

 

As of 10:38 a.m., the number of casualties increased to 5. A 49-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman are in serious condition. Three more people are in moderate condition, Fedorov writes.

 

Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, first reported the attack. Russia struck a residential area of Zaporizhzhia. Preliminary, one person was wounded.

 

The blast wave also damaged nearby houses, a kindergarten and dormitories.

 

At 9:12 a.m., Ukraine's Air Force warned of the threat of ballistic missile attacks from the east and the temporarily occupied Crimea. Three minutes later, Suspilne reported on the explosions in Zaporizhzhia.

 

  • On the night of October 21, the occupying Russian army launched strike UAVs, guided bombs and ballistic missiles at Ukraine. In Kharkiv, 13 people were injured. Kyiv was attacked by drones: there is a victim. Kryvyi Rih was also attacked.
