Russia attacks Ukraine with Shahed drones and missiles: Debris hits high-rise in Brovary

"At around 12:45 a.m. today, following an enemy UAV attack, the roof of a high-rise building in Brovary caught fire. Rescuers promptly arrived on the scene and quickly extinguished the blaze. Residents were evacuated. At this time, no casualties have been reported," Brovary Mayor Ihor Sapozhko stated.
The head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, also confirmed that fragments of the downed UAV hit the roof of a 25-story residential building.
By 1:30 a.m., authorities reported the fire on the building's roof had been fully extinguished. Emergency services remained at the site to continue their work.
A local Telegram channel reported no injuries, with all residents evacuated in time. According to eyewitnesses, a loud explosion was heard before the fire began, causing panic as people tried to understand what had happened.
The National Police confirmed that fragments damaged two high-rise buildings.
In one, debris struck the roof, igniting a fire in the elevator shaft that was quickly put out. No injuries were reported. In the other building, windows and a car were damaged.
Two investigative teams, four patrol police response units from the Brovary district, and police explosives experts were deployed to handle the incident.
