Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation warned that the accounts on the social network X that are promoting these rallies in Cologne, Berlin, and Paris are either operated by pro-Russian users or are directly linked to Russian propaganda.
Some of the accounts claim to belong to “Ukrainians who escaped mobilization,” but their content is either inactive or overtly pro-Russian.
“The goal of this provocation is to undermine support for Ukraine abroad, create the illusion of dissatisfaction among Ukrainians with their government's actions, and discredit the mobilization efforts. This is a typical Russian propaganda tactic aimed at spreading disinformation in Europe,” the center stated.
