Russia recruits foreign 'journalists' to spread propaganda - Center for National Resistance
Russia is stepping up its recruitment of foreign 'journalists', bloggers and youth and increasing funding for tenders for them to cover the war 'properly'
This is reported by Ukraine's Center for National Resistance.
It is noted that the Russians have created a structure called Rossotrudnichestvo (Russian cooperation - ed.), which announces programs for foreign 'journalists'. In particular, Russia annually pays for thousands of young "representatives of socio-political circles" from abroad to visit the Russian Federation and the temporarily Ukrainian occupied regions.
The Center for National Resistance emphasizes that in the first four months of this year, Rossotrudnichestvo announced tenders for the 'correct' coverage of Russia's war against Ukraine for RUB 230 million. This amount is higher than the enemy's similar expenditures for the entire year of 2023.
"In Russia, foreign 'journalists' are trained at the Sputnik news agency and the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper. Later, they become centers of propaganda in their countries and conduct information campaigns against Ukraine and the entire civilized world," the statement says.
- On May 17, it was reported that Russia was using the residents of Vovchansk in its propaganda.
