Russian army hits almost 300 objects of Ukraine's port infrastructure in 3 months
Over the past three months, the Russian occupation army has carried out nearly 60 attacks on Ukraine's port infrastructure, damaging and destroying almost 300 facilities
This was stated by the Minister of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.
Russia is attacking primarily ports, civilian vessels and grain storage facilities.
‘Russia is purposefully intensifying attacks on the port infrastructure of the Ukrainian south. The purpose of these attacks is to reduce our export potential. It is a deliberate provocation of a food crisis in those parts of the world that are directly dependent on Ukrainian grain supplies,’ he wrote.
In addition to port infrastructure, 177 vehicles and 22 civilian vessels were damaged. There were 79 civilians injured, including port workers, logistics companies and ship crews.
Kuleba noted that law enforcement officers are documenting every such war crime to bring Russia to justice.
‘For its part, the world must respond to these attacks accordingly, because the consequences of the shelling are felt not only in Ukraine. First of all, it affects the countries of the Global South and Europe,’ the minister wrote.
‘More than 40 countries receive our grain today, including Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Spain, Turkey, and the Netherlands,’ he added.
