What does arrival of Saab 340 radar surveillance aircraft mean for Ukraine?
Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military and political observer of the Information Resistance group, noted that the moment when F-16s will appear in Ukraine is so close that you can already hear the roar of the engines
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"This is not the first time the enemy has struck at Starokostiantyniv military airfield. The Russian forces are trying to disable the entire infrastructure and runways. That is, their main goal is to damage the airfield's infrastructure. The fact that Sweden has handed over the largest aid package since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and that this aid package includes a long-range radar reconnaissance and surveillance aircraft indicates that the moment of F-16's arrival in Ukraine is so close that you can already hear the roar of F-16 engines," Kovalenko said.
According to the military and political observer of the Information Resistance group, the Saab-340 radar surveillance aircraft will help to use the nomenclature and weapons more efficiently.
"The Saab-340 is not just a component of the F-16. It will help destroy Russian aircraft at maximum distances. It will also be able to fire missiles at the temporarily occupied territories and, if permitted, at the territory of the Russian Federation," Kovalenko explained.
- Sweden has presented the sixteenth and so far the largest aid package to Ukraine, worth €1.16 billion. It includes aircraft, armored vehicles, ammunition, and tanks.
- Defense Express military expert Ivan Kyrychevskyi noted that Sweden provides Ukraine with a radar surveillance aircraft to help F-16s better see enemy aircraft, armed with glide bombs.
