Ukrainian intelligence destroys Russian regiment, clears 400 hectares of forest in Kharkiv region

The DIU press service reported the information.

The DIU's active action units Artan, Kraken and the International Legion conducted a complex successful operation to liberate a forest area located north of the village of Lyptsi, Kharkiv region.

In particular, the DIU managed to capture the Russian battalion defense area, destroy three motorized rifle battalions, the Storm detachment and a reconnaissance company of the 7th separate motorized rifle regiment of the 11th Army Corps of the Russian Army.

Also, during the assault, more Russian soldiers were taken prisoner, which will help to return the defenders of Ukraine from Russian captivity. 

“After clearing 400 hectares of forest north of Lyptsi, the situation for the invaders on this section of the front is deteriorating and is close to hopeless,” the Defence Intelligence emphasized.

The intelligence reported that the operation was notable for the fact that the infantry from the 13th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, known as Khartiia, was deployed with remarkably low losses. This operation exemplifies excellent cooperation between professional special forces and a frontline unit.

“The successful mission of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine creates conditions for further ousting of Russian occupiers from the northern Kharkiv region,” the DIU added.

• On September 24, the units of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine completely liberated the territory of the Vovchansk aggregate plant and neutralized the Russian military in all buildings of the enterprise.
