Moscow targets Western minds with Rubezh missile

Russian forces struck Ukraine's city of Dnipro with an intercontinental missile

But their true target was the minds of people in the West. That was the main reason for the strike. The primary goal: to further frighten Musk and Co. with the prospect of nuclear war. To make them shout even louder that Ukraine should not be supported, and to scream more about how powerful Russia is and that it must not be offended.

And they find a receptive audience. Even stock markets these days react to air raid alerts in Kyiv, although for the past two years, such alerts have gone unnoticed. Similarly, reports of explosions in Kryvyi Rih now draw attention, even though most investors and speculators don't even know where that city is.

“By the way, this explains why Biden didn’t make a decision to allow strikes deep into Russia before the elections. The Americans understood that Russia would behave exactly like this, and that Trumpists would happily amplify this hysteria.”

But Trump won anyway. Yet Musk and Co. are still in diapers and continue to idolize Putin. And we have to live with this. With a mass of Putin supporters and people sensitive to Russian propaganda, who now have much closer access to power in the U.S. than before. And they continue to panic, scaring everyone with the inevitability of nuclear war. Claiming that Putin—who was so afraid for his life during COVID that he lived in a bunker and only spoke to Macron from a distance of five meters—might sacrifice his own life to plunge the world into nuclear war.

This was the reason for the strike. This is why the Russians will now widely distribute videos that indeed look impressive, resembling a scene from a sci-fi movie.

This was also the purpose of Zakharova's press conference. Where, supposedly by chance, someone called and supposedly didn’t want her to comment on the strike. To emphasize this fact once again and draw attention to it. To show their "Kuzka’s mother" (an idiomatic expression for an intimidating show of force - Ed.) once more. To frighten people yet again.

Russia is putting on a show. But, unfortunately, this show has a lot of grateful viewers. Russia has already managed to convince Western audiences that it is winning, despite not achieving any objectives during its year-long continuous offensive, depleting massive resources, and straining its economy. In fact, it has achieved nothing beyond media effects. But even that might be enough for them. If these grateful viewers make decisions based on the perception of Russia’s invincibility. The favorite theme of autocrat fans. The favorite storyline of Russian propaganda.

And what about us? At the very least, we must understand what Russia wants. And don't give this to it. Don’t let Putin into our minds. Don’t be Elon Musk...
