Russia’s use of Molniya drones confirms terrorist intentions - military expert
Valerii Riabykh, a military expert and development director at the Defense Express media and consulting company, has stated that Russian forces are deliberately attacking Ukraine's civilian infrastructure with Molniya UAVs to cause terror
He shared this on Espreso TV.
"The Russian army has already used Molniya UAVs in a terrorist attack on Kharkiv. Today, we’re witnessing another such attack using this drone. The unique thing about this UAV is that it’s similar to an FPV drone, but instead of being a copter, it's an airplane-type drone. To hit a target, the operator must directly control the UAV. This highlights the terrorist nature of the Russian military machine. In Kharkiv today, Russian terrorists are specifically targeting civilian infrastructure, particularly residential buildings," explained Riabykh.
According to the expert, Russia is resorting to terrorist attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure due to the lack of strategic successes on the front.
“When Russian forces have no success on the front line, they resort to such terrorist attacks to achieve their goals. First and foremost, to spread panic among the civilian population. Additionally, these attacks are used to give their own population, which fully supports them, the impression of some success," Riabykh added.
