153 combat clashes erupt on Russia-Ukraine frontline, with 34 in Pokrovsk sector

Over the past 24 hours, the total number of combat clashes along the entire frontline has risen to 153. Russian troops are most active in the Pokrovsk and Vremivka directions

The Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff shared the information in a report as of 8:00 a.m.

Over the past day, 153 combat clashes took place.  According to the updated information, yesterday Russian troops launched one missile attack on Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas using one missile, as well as 83 air strikes, and dropped 138 guided bombs. In addition, they carried out more than 4,000 attacks, 92 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 1,380 kamikaze drones. 

Russian airstrikes targeted 5 settlements in Sumy region; 1 settlement in Kharkiv region; 14 settlements in Donetsk region; 2 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region.

Over the past day, Ukraine's missile forces and artillery launched 25 attacks on Russian troop and weapon concentrations, and damaged a Russian control center and field ammunition depot.  

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces conducted four unsuccessful assault operations near Vovchansk and Starytsia. 

The number of combat clashes in the Kupyansk sector reached seven over the last day. The Ukrainian defense forces repelled Russian attacks near Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Kucherivka, Kruhliakivka and Zelenyi Hai.  

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops stopped ten Russian attacks. Russian forces concentrated their main efforts near Cherneshchyna, Zarichne, Hryhorivka, Serebrianka and Terny.  

In the Siversk and Kramatorsk sectors, the invading Russian army did not conduct any assault or offensive actions, however, it conducted air strikes near Siversk, Chasiv Yar and Lypivka.

Russia actively used bomber aircraft to make seven attempts to advance near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.

Ukrainian troops rebuffed 34 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector over the last day. Russian forces tried to advance near Myroliubivka, Pustynka, Promin, Krutyi Yar, Krasnyi Yar, Liskivka, Yurivka, Zhovte, Petrivka, Dachenske, Novooleksiivka, Hryhorivka and Pushkine. 

Ukrainian defense forces are holding back Russian troops in the Kurakhove sector. Russian troops attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 29 times near Berestky, Zoria, Sontsivka, Maksymilianivka, Katerynivka, Yelyzavetivka, and Antonivka.

In the Vremivka sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped the same number of Russian attacks near Trudove, Kostiantynopilske, Rozdolne, Velyka Novosilka and Novodarivka.

In the Orikhiv and Huliaipole sectors, the occupying Russian forces did not conduct any active operations yesterday. 

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russian troops maintain a military presence, conducting reconnaissance activities and artillery shelling. 

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue operations in the Kursk sector, where the Russian forces conducted 25 air strikes using 39 guided missiles over the past day. 

  • During the overnight attack on November 20, Ukrainian air defenders successfully shot down 2 Russian missiles and 56 drones.
