Ukrainian Air Defense downs 56 Russian drones, 2 missiles overnight
During the overnight attack on November 20, Ukrainian air defenders successfully shot down 2 Russian missiles and 56 drones
The Ukrainian Air Force press service reported the information.
From 7:30 p.m. on November 19 to the morning of the next day, Russian forces launched an S-300 guided missile from Belgorod targeting Kharkiv and five Kh-59/69 guided missiles aimed at Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions.
Russia also deployed guided bombs and 122 Shahed drones, along with unidentified UAVs, launched from Kursk, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Ukrainian air defenses, including aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces, repelled the attack.
Confirmed interceptions include two Kh-59/69 guided missiles and 56 drones over Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions.
Additionally, 58 Russian drones were lost due to countermeasures in various regions. Six more exited Ukraine's airspace: five to Russia and one to Belarus.
