Ukraine's military intelligence liberates Vovchansk aggregate plant in Kharkiv region

Ukrainian commandos cleared the plant's buildings from Russian occupiers, engaging in contact battles with the enemy in dense buildings. It is also noted that in some cases, the DIU's special forces engaged in hand-to-hand combat with the Russian enemy.

‘The Russians turned the aggregate plant into their propaganda ‘fortress’, using the most motivated and professional units in its defence, including even soldiers of the 45th Airborne Brigade of the Airborne Troops (Kubinka, Moscow). In addition, a significant amount of artillery, 'kamikaze' drones, guided aerial bombs and heavy flamethrower systems Solntsepyok were continuously used against Ukrainian servicemen,’ the DIU said.

Ukrainian troops also managed to destroy the occupying Russian soldiers and take Russian prisoners for the exchange fund. At the same time, the territory of the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant was transferred to the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after all 30 buildings were cleared.

The operation was carried out by the special groups of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine: Stugna, Paragon, Junger, BDK and Terror.
