800 people remain in embattled Kurakhove, Donetsk region
As of November 20, 2,900 civilians remain in the Kurakhove community in the Donetsk region, 800 of them in the town itself
This was reported by Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.
‘The situation in the Kurakhove direction is the most difficult. 2,900 people are staying in the community, 800 people are staying in the town, and they have no desire to leave. They have stocked up on food packages, medicines and drinking water,’ he said.
According to Filashkin, the Russians have destroyed Kurakhove by almost 70%.
At the same time, 750 residents remain in Toretsk, while 304 in Chasiv Yar. The head of the Regional Military Administration stressed that it is ‘almost impossible’ to bring humanitarian aid there.
Filashkin added that 106 frontline settlements in Donetsk region lack electricity, gas, and water. However, other areas of the region are ready for the heating season.
