Russia needs to be cut off from Crimea, this is crucial step - Ukraine's Defense Intelligence
Andriy Chernyak, a representative of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence, believes that the liberation of Crimea is crucial in the war with Russia. As long as Russia occupies the Crimean peninsula, Ukraine will not be protected
This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine on Telegram.
"Of course, the Russian enemy must be cut off from Crimea - to make sure that Russia cannot use the temporarily occupied peninsula for military purposes and, ultimately, to make the so-called "Crimean gesture of goodwill," said Andriy Chernyak.
According to him, Ukraine does not stop taking appropriate measures in the Crimean direction, as evidenced, in particular, by recent events on the peninsula.
"Kilometer-long traffic jams on the illegally constructed bridge from Kerch to Russia are the right reaction. The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine strongly recommends leaving the occupied Crimea while this option is still available," said the representative of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence.
In this way, Chernyak commented on a recent statement by former U.S. Army Commander for Europe Ben Hodges, who suggested isolating Crimea from Russia.
"I believe that Crimea is crucial for this war. As long as Russia occupies the Crimean peninsula, Ukraine will not be protected. If you look at the map, Crimea with Russian troops is like a dagger aimed at Ukraine's belly," Ben Hodges said.

On May 1, the occupation authorities of Crimea claimed that Russian air defense was repelling a drone attack on the peninsula. Head of the occupation administration Sergey Aksyonov claims that one drone has already been shot down.
