Ukraine's acceptance of peace in 2022 would prevent build-up of Russian army: foreign disinfo for July 4
American commentator Jackson Hinkle stated that Ukraine carries out acts of terrorism against civilians and nuclear power plants
On July 4, Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation has published the selection of anti-Ukrainian disinformation in the world media.
Disinformation: American commentator Jackson Hinkle stated, "Ukrainian acts of terrorism carried out against civilians and nuclear power plants illustrate a deliberate strategy of violence and escalation, rather than a genuine pursuit of peace."
Refutation: Hinkle's disinformation statements aim unjustly to demonize Ukraine and its army in the eyes of the international community. In reality, the Armed Forces of Ukraine aim to neutralize the Russian army and its war-making capabilities, including targeting command centers, ammunition depots, and personnel.
Disinformation: Former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter said, "Imagine if we had accepted Russia's proposal for peace with Ukraine, which Ukraine was ready to accept in April 2022. Imagine, if we had done that, this war would have been over. Russia wouldn't have built up its military to over two million, they would still be at 900,000."
Refutation: Ritter attempts to shift blame for prolonging the war from Russia onto Ukraine and its allies. In reality, Russia, the country that started this war, could have easily ended it by ceasing its invasion of Ukrainian territory and the killing of the Ukrainian people.
