Ramstein participants are well informed about real situation at the front - General Staff
Partner countries' representatives taking part in the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting have been updated on the current state of affairs at the front
Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Yevhen Moisiuk said this at the Military Media Center.
“In Germany, we presented to our partners the current situation and the vision of probable scenarios for its development. We voiced a list of the Ukrainian Defense Forces' needs in terms of weapons, so that these scenarios would have a successful conclusion for the members of the anti-Putin coalition. We were once again convinced of the consistency of the American partners in supporting Ukraine. We would like to experience the results of the coordination of the allies' efforts to provide Ukraine with heavy weapons as soon as possible,” Yevhen Moisiuk said.
The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces emphasized that there is a consensus among the partners regarding the careful training of the Ukrainian military, and the motivation of the defenders is to use modern weapons on the battlefield as soon as possible.
“Our tankers also learn quickly,” the representative of the General Staff added.
During the 8th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in Ramstein on January 20, the provision of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine wasn't agreed.
Ukraine has agreed on the training of its tanker crews on German Leopard 2 and British Challenger 2 tanks - they will begin soon.
The representative of the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense Andrii Yusov noted that the general position of the partners regarding the victory of Ukraine has already been formed.
