The visit is part of Qatar's efforts to address the humanitarian consequences of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.

Special attention was paid to the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
"By withdrawing from the Black Sea Grain Initiative, Russia has jeopardized the lives of millions of people around the world, primarily in Africa and Asia. Withdrawal from the grain agreement, war crimes and crimes against humanity, genocide by Russia require an immediate and decisive response from the international community," the Ukrainian Prime Minister emphasized.
Ukraine and Qatar agreed to cooperate through the Joint Intergovernmental Commission and other working groups and commissions in various fields, from high technology to drinking water supply. They also discussed the Peace Formula in detail.
"I am grateful to Qatar for its willingness to make mediation efforts to return Ukrainian children whom Russia illegally took and continues to hold on its territory," Shmyhal added.
Sheikh Mohammed is reportedly planning to talk to Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. The Qatari minister will discuss opportunities for cooperation in various fields and deepening the grain deal.
