Putin's nuclear and energy blackmail is collapsing

Russia deliberately intimidates with the use of nuclear weapons in order to prevent Ukraine's allied countries from participating in Russia's war against our state

In a comment to Reuters, a high-ranking NATO official emphasized that in the case of the use of nuclear weapons by the Russian Federation in the war with Ukraine, there may be a so-called "physical", military response from Ukraine's allies. And probably the answer of the Alliance itself.

In this way, the entire course of the war that Vladimir Putin started against Ukraine in February can radically change. And it is also absolutely obvious that this is the first comment by a high-ranking Western official about the consequences of Russia's use of nuclear weapons in the war with Ukraine. So far, virtually all Western high-ranking officials, representatives of NATO itself, have avoided giving a concrete answer to the question of what the consequences of Russia's use of nuclear weapons will be.

They talked exclusively about the catastrophic consequences. However, they did not specify what is meant by this catastrophe. Now at least we realize how dangerous the consequences of the Russian Federation's use of nuclear weapons will be for the Russian Federation itself.

The same official emphasized that, in his opinion, Russia specifically intimidates the use of nuclear weapons in order to prevent Ukraine's allied countries from participating in Russia's war against our state. And probably trying to do everything possible to stop the supply of weapons to Ukrainian defenders.

However, Russia is currently achieving the opposite result. After the attack of the Russian air forces on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure, the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine accelerated. First of all, the latest air defense systems. It is already becoming absolutely obvious that for the security of Ukraine, for its victory in the war against Russian Federation, it is necessary first of all to close the Ukrainian sky from Russian missiles, to do everything to ensure the peaceful life of the civilian population, which the president of the Russian Federation is trying to destroy with his criminal army.

Thus, the supply of weapons to Ukraine became an important part of the reaction of the civilized world to another war crime committed by Russians against the Ukrainian people.

Now we can also say that the supply of anti-aircraft defense will certainly not prevent further attacks by the Russian aerospace forces on Ukrainian infrastructural facilities, but it can significantly reduce these problems.

Although it takes a long time to prepare for a new missile attack. And now time does not work for Vladimir Putin.

Will Putin be ready to change tactics and try to use some diplomatic tools to prolong the war? We will learn about this after Russian President's talks with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who arrived in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana.

Turkish leader is trying to create a format for the participation of American, French, British, German and Russian officials in the first dialogue since the beginning of Vladimir Putin's aggression against Ukraine. The purpose of this dialogue is to find ways of trust between the civilized world and Russia.

However, so far we do not see great enthusiasm from the West. In Moscow, they are talking about the possibility of Putin's talks with American President Joseph Biden.  In particular, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov, expressed such confidence that Russia will be ready to accept the invitation of the USA.

However, the US president himself, commenting on the possibility of his meeting with the Russian president in Indonesia, said that he does not see a real need for such contacts and that he is ready to meet with Putin on one condition: if, in the event of these negotiations, it is possible to release American citizens whom Russians held as hostages.

The United States has long offered an exchange of prisoners and is waiting for a response from the Russian side, which has been absent for a long time. Biden, as a head of state who always cares about his citizens, emphasizes that he can meet even with such a ghoul as Putin when it comes to liberating Americans.

However, the US president does not see the subject of negotiations regarding Russia's war against Ukraine. That is why there is no real constructiveness on the part of Russia regarding the end of this war. There are attempts to blackmail both Ukraine and Europe. The blackmailing of Europe is now not done by military means, but by energy means. Vladimir Putin emphasized that the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 blasts were the result of sabotage, which he blamed on the US, Ukraine and Poland.  He, however, said that the repair can take place only in a situation where the Russian Federation receives guarantees that there will be no sanctions against its energy industry and a guarantee that gas will continue to be supplied by these pipelines.  And so far, Putin has again offered to supply gas to Europe through one of the branches of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. It remained intact after the sabotage, for which most experts blame Moscow.
