Peskov deems 'demilitarization of Ukraine' almost complete, Kuleba responds
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov says that the 'demilitarization of Ukraine' is almost complete. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has reacted to this statement and said he expects 'the next episodes'
He wrote about this on Facebook.
On Saturday, Peskov said that Ukraine's demilitarization has largely been accomplished, as the country “uses less and less of its own weapons and more and more of Western weapons.”
He also claims that NATO, under the leadership of the United States, is “increasingly involved in the conflict,” forcing Russia to take more decisive measures.
“This leads to the fact that the conflict is dragging on. This leads to the situation in Europe becoming more tense and unpredictable. This obliges Russia to take more decisive measures to ensure security,” Putin's spokesman said.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, in turn, reacted to Peskov's comment and predicted what other statements we should expect from Russia in the future.
“In the next episodes: In fact, all the tasks of the 'special military operation' have been fulfilled. Ukraine, as a member of the EU and NATO, will not be able to attack Russia, Crimea is no longer a burden on the Russian budget, the Nazis are only in Russia, and the losses of Russian soldiers and equipment in Ukraine, which we will not tell anyone about, helped us correct our mistakes and make Russia stronger. Russia is stronger than ever,” he wrote.
He noted that Putin will be able to explain to Russians both the loss of Crimea and the loss of the war, and noted that life without modern Russia is possible.
“The main thing for partners is not to be afraid of global changes and not to stop supporting Ukraine. Life without modern Russia is possible. And every day we are working on new weapons for the Ukrainian Defense Forces, on strengthening the global coalition in support of the Peace Formula and on the restoration of Ukraine. All this will happen,” the Foreign Minister added.

On Russia's Day, which is celebrated on June 12, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev posted a photo of Independence Square with a photoshopped tricolor. NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov responded to Medvedev's statement by posting a straitjacket on social media and asking to “give it to Medvedev and at the same time congratulate him on the day of the temporarily existing Russia.”
