According to Oleg Osipov, Medvedev's assistant, his boss considers Kyiv as both a Russian city and a target of their war efforts. Osipov stated, "Dmitry Medvedev believes that Kyiv is our direct objective. It is a Russian city, and our aim is to bring it back. We will persist until we achieve this." These remarks were reported by Russian media.
