No building was left undamaged, the invaders bombed 80-90% of Mariupol - Deputy Mayor
Today, 80-90% of Mariupol has already been bombed. There is not a single building in the city without damage - all are either destroyed or damaged
This was stated by Deputy Mayor of Mariupol Sergiy Orlov in an interview with Forbes.
"80-90% of the city was bombed. There is no building without damage. Either destroyed or damaged", he said.
As of March 13, the city officially confirmed the death of 2358 people.
"As of March 13, there were 2,358 dead people. We must understand that these are bodies that were on the street. There are still people under the rubble that we don’t know about. Therefore, this figure can be safely multiplied by 1.5-2. And we hide them, mostly in mass graves", added Orlov.
Only elements of infrastructure operate in Mariupol. The invaders shot almost all the vehicles of the State Emergency Service, so the rescuers were not able to go to the fires.
"The factories are not working - everything is at a standstill, they cannot be launched. Azovstal has been completely bombed out", the deputy mayor of Mariupol emphasized.
