Moscow Church becomes element of Russia's hybrid war against Ukraine - MP Kniazhytskyi
Ukrainian lawmaker Mykola Kniazhytskyi believes that Russia is using the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) to weaken Ukraine's defense capabilities
He said this on Espreso TV.
“The UOC-MP continues to be active in Ukraine. They work as a sect, continuing to brainwash Ukrainians. It is worth noting that any sect is a danger to society. We all remember the White Brotherhood, which, according to media reports, was also created by the KGB to manipulate society. Therefore, the UOC-MP is another tool of the Russian Federation to manipulate Ukrainian society,” explained Kniazhytskyi.
The lawmaker emphasized that the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate weaken Ukraine's turnover capacity.
“The church has become an element of Russia's hybrid war against Ukraine. The churches and monasteries of the UOC-MP have become a refuge for Russian agents. Obviously, the activities of this branch of the Moscow Patriarchate weaken our defense capability. Therefore, there are many threats and we need to work with them,” he added.
