Army chief Syrskyi: "Ukraine has positive dynamic in destroying enemy targets with drones'"
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi highlighted the positive progress made in September in defeating and destroying Russian targets using attack drones
The Commander-in-Chief announced this on Facebook following a monthly meeting with the commanders of unmanned systems units.
"As of September, we have seen a positive trend in the defeat and destruction of enemy targets by attack drones. In total, 147 servicemen from the UAV units who successfully destroyed enemy personnel and equipment have received awards from the commander-in-chief,” said Syrskyi.
During the meeting, the commander-in-chief heard a report from Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on the formation of the designated units, as well as the results of the use of drones in the areas of combat missions.
According to him, the heads of structural units of the Armed Forces and other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine also reported on the development of the capabilities of unmanned aerial vehicles.
“I have identified specific tasks to accelerate the development of this kind of forces, increase the number of UAV units, respond to new challenges from the enemy and introduce advanced technological developments on the battlefield,” the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces noted.
He also added that the commanders of specific regiments and battalions shared their experience and made suggestions.
