Ukrainian army officer names Russian targets in Novopavlivka direction
Serhiy Voronov, an officer of the Legion of Freedom, noted that the Russian army continues to advance from the completely destroyed Marinka
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"For a long time now, the Novopavlivka sector has been experiencing the largest number of attacks on the contact line. The enemy continues to advance from the completely destroyed Marinka, expanding its foothold to the south - the town of Pobieda. East of Marinka they are moving to Heorhiivka, which is located towards Kurakhove," explained Voronov.
According to the Legion of Freedom officer, the Ukrainian town of Kurakhove is apparently one of Russia's targets.
"The enemy is also trying to storm Krasnohorivka from the south. It is very tense near Nevelske. To the south, Novomykhailivka is a hotspot, and the enemy is trying to go through it, possibly to encircle Vuhledar," added Voronov.
Earlier, Espreso wrote that despite numerous assaults and attempts to occupy the partially encircled Novomykhailivka, in March the Russians managed to capture only its eastern part. A similar situation was observed near Marinka, where the Russians tried to expand their control zone to the north, advancing on Krasnohorivka in the west, through Heorhiivka, and to the south, where they failed to gain a foothold in the village of Pobieda.
This week, the officer of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade Serhiy Tsehotskyi told Espreso that the Russian army has intensified its activities in the direction of Marinka. It is aggressively trying to advance in the direction of Krasnohorivka. The attacks are being carried out with the help of armored vehicles.- News
