Many mobilized Russians won't reach Ukraine - military expert Katkov
Defense Express Editor-in-Chief Oleh Katkov believes that Russia may lose some of its mobilized soldiers on the way to Ukraine
He shared his opinion with Espreso TV.
"The times when it was possible to fight with a mass of people with rifles and a few machine guns per regiment have long passed. However, this threat should not be neglected. The number of personnel is always of great importance," Katkov explained.
The expert emphasized that due to the long transfer of troops, the mobilized Russians may become unfit to conduct hostilities.
"Now the number of personnel is much less important than 70 years ago. However, the size of the army always plays one of the key roles in the course of hostilities. Especially when the army leads a counteroffensive. Another important aspect of Russian mobilizations is that many Russians will not arrive in Ukraine. Many of those mobilized will be unfit for combat operations after a long transfer to the front," he added.
