Political scientist Yuriy Felshtynskyi believes that Donald Trump probably plans to withdraw from NATO and stop aid to Ukraine if he becomes the president of the USA

He stated this on Espreso.

“Donald Trump has a significant dependence on money from Russia. Many people talk about this, and there is evidence to support it. Whether you take this topic seriously or not, it is undeniable that Trump can be connected to the Russian agency,” he explained.

The political scientist firmly believes that Trump's goal is to stop providing aid to Ukraine.

“It doesn't matter which candidate from the Republican or Democratic parties becomes the President of the United States to me. However, if Donald Trump gets reelected, he will immediately halt assistance to Ukraine, withdraw the United States from NATO, and hand Europe over to Russia. I hope he doesn't become the President again, but there is a real possibility of these significant threats. He will make efforts to make it happen,” he added.

  • On May 11, Donald Trump called for a reduction in the supply of weapons to Ukraine. He also stated that if he becomes the President of the USA in 2024, he will be able to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

  • John Kirby stated that Donald Trump's remarks about supporting Ukraine do not impact the US's policy and its relationships with partner countries.

  • Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, seen as the main Republican rival to former President Donald Trump in the US elections, expressed his disinterest in involving American troops in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict if he wins.

  • Andrei Marga, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, suggested that Ukraine should give its territories to Russia, Hungary, Poland, and Romania. The Ukrainian Embassy labeled Marga's statement as unacceptable.
