Trump's claims on Ukraine aid do not affect US policy – White House
White House’s National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby said that Donald Trump's comments on reducing aid for Ukraine did not affect the policy of the US and partner countries
Kirby said this at an online briefing, Ukrinform reports.
"All the signs that we see everyday indicate that the international community - with some very few exceptions that we've been talking about for months - strongly supports Ukraine and continues to support Ukraine as it fights to defend itself," Kirby said.
The US National Security Council spokesperson also recalled the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, which unites more than 50 countries, and noted that he sees no weakening of positions in most countries to continue to help Ukraine, including after former President Trump's speech.
"We will continue to focus on supporting Ukraine, and we continue to see great international support," Kirby emphasised.
