As of 12:00, 25 people were killed, 62 were wounded, including women and children Melitopol residents. A 5-year-old child was hit by shrapnel in the stomach, doctors are fighting for her life. The 3-year-old child miraculously survived, but remained an orphan," he emphasized.

According to Ivan Fedorov, among the victims are volunteers who transport medicine to temporarily occupied territories, evacuate people, as well as those who have relatives in the Russian-occupied part of the region.

"The enemy immediately reported that he had hit a "strategic object" with a high-precision weapon. So the destruction of civilians is Russia's strategy? Moreover, the occupiers announced that today in Melitopol there will be a "holiday" on the occasion of the "referendum". That's literally dancing on blood." the mayor remarked.

There was a column of cars with civilians who were going to pick up their relatives in the temporarily occupied territory" - Kyrylo Tymoshenko noted.

Earlier, Oleksandr Starukh, the head of Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration, wrote about 23 killed and 28 injured in Telegram.

Ivan Fedorov, the mayor of Melitopol, added that people leave Zaporizhzhia for the occupied territories every day to deliver vital medicines to civilians, support relatives and return back.

"For now, it is impossible to even count the number of dead and wounded people. Among the victims are Melitopol citizens," Ivan Fedorov noted.
