"The situation in the Kherson direction is included in the general scheme of actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff regarding the exhaustion of the enemy group on the right bank of the Dnipro river. Conducting counteroffensive operations in an emergency mode is counterproductive, because it is associated with significant losses. The bridgehead on the right bank is difficult for offensive actions." - Zgurets explained.
The expert also added that after the pseudo-referendums, Russia will try to deploy a "nuclear umbrella" over the occupied territories and declare that it is Russian land, but this will not be recognized by the world.
"And this does not mean that Ukraine will stop liberating the occupied territories. The war for liberation will continue," Zgurets emphasized.
